Alternative Format Textbooks

Alternative Format Textbooks

The ATAC obtains alternate formats of instructional materials for students authorized to receive alternate media accommodations. We specialize in obtaining or producing alternate media that provides the highest levels of accessibility and usability. Alternate media options include but are not limited to:

  • Accessible eTexts for interactive reading software/screen-reading software
  • Braille and tactile graphics
  • Large print

If you need alternate media for coursework, be sure to make your request early enough based on the time frames listed in our available formats document (requires IU Login). If you don't, the ATAC will not be able to provide you with materials by the start of the semester.
